Reena is a modern artist with an innovative and imaginative conceptual representation of her style. She completed her bachelor’s degree in art from Delhi College of Art and her schooling at Presentation Convent School in New Delhi.

Her early career began with ad agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Sam Mathews, Grafik International, Abu Dhabi Advertising, and Dar Al Fajr in the UK, the Gulf, and India, where she has several successful campaigns to her credit. However, Reena has had a passion for painting since early childhood and has continued to paint throughout her life, which is where she finds her true self.

Self-Portrait

For Reena, art is not bound by formalities; she could even use her hand or a stick to paint, with canvases serving as her palette.

Reena works across various disciplines, including oil, watercolour, ink, acrylic, and gold leaf, among others. She captures the nuances of imagination and has worked and exhibited in the UK, the Gulf, and India, with numerous exhibitions and private collections to her credit. Her work is collected by royalty, presidents, celebrities, and esteemed business tycoons, as well as a growing number of private collectors.

Some of the notable participations in her career include the Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi, Hemisphere Gallery, Heritage Cultural Foundation in Abu Dhabi, British Council in New Delhi, Goethe Institute in New Delhi, and Mina Zayed Free Port in Abu Dhabi, among others.

From 2007 to 2008, Reena was involved as an art educator with the British School, New Delhi. During this time, she was involved in improving the art curriculum at the school and also introducing new teaching pedagogies for IGCSE and IB Art students.

In 2010, Reena performed a unique one of a kind live art show as an ensemble of art and music with the rock band Indian Ocean at the British Council in New Delhi.

Reena fuses cultural aesthetics and ethnic feelings and styles through her strokes, colours, and forms, giving deep meanings to her works.

She has also had opportunities to run art workshops, such as Art as Therapyfor geriatric wards and handicapped individuals in the Gulf, where she was highly acclaimed for her simple, sensitive, and meaningful connection with the participants. Additionally, she has conducted art workshops for renowned international schools in both the Gulf and India, including a special education needs (SEN) research study with Sunderland University in the UK.

Her works have also been exhibited at the Taj Hotel and ShangriLa Eros in New Delhi.

Delicate Vision!

I am proud to have been associated with Reena for years for her ART, which truly depicts, of famous English writer, D. H. Lawrence.
“Art is a form of supremely delicate awareness…meaning at-oneness, the state of being at one with the object…The picture must all come out of the artist’s inside…It is the image that lives in the consciousness, alive like a vision, but unknown.”

Hassan Al Darwish, CEO Al Bawardi Group of Companies, Gulf

Natural!

Reena is a natural artist!
